How to incoporate update RPMs into base tree for FC4 x86_64 ???

Hi,

 I'm a newbie to Fedora Core installation automation
-- I got a problem of how to incoporate update
packages into the base distribition for FC4 x86_64.

 For FC4 i386, I've found a script updatehdlist.py at
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/AnacondaGenHdList. it
works great at mergeing the base distribution and
updates trees to create a installation tree.

 But for FC4 x86_64, The same script reportes
thousands lines of errors. possibly because the script
is too old(timstamped in 2003) and needs extention?

 Is there another script will do the same thing for
X86_64 besides of i386?

 Please help. Thanks a lot.
