I just tested it and was able to locate the driver and download it from
www.nvidia.com in less than a minute.   Admittedly the download time may
be different if you do not have broadband, but still it is readily
available.   Are you sure that ftp.nvidia.com is correct?  I used
www.nvidia.com.
