slow FC4 to FC5 upgrade

I seem to recall that the kernel-devel packages were hardlinked to save 
disk space. Try upgrading the package if it is installed. Try installing 
the package if it is not present.

Since the newer FC5 uses the yum plug-in which only saves two kernels 
and also because of complaints related to th time it took to hardlink 
the kernel-devel packages, it was discontinued or only performed if 
hardlink was present.

I have hardlink-1.0-1.21.2 installed.

This is just what comes to my mind.
