FC4: upgrade to 2.6.16-1.2069_FC4 breaks networking

Hi.  I have an IBM x346 server loaded with FC4 with
2.6.15-1.1833_FC4kernel.  "yum update kernel" pulled in
2.6.16-1.2069_FC4 kernel.  When I boot up with the new kernel, I lose my
networking.  Can't even ping 127.0.0.1 - get "ping: sendmsg: operation not
permitted".

dmesg has this re eth0:
eth0: Tigon3 [partno(BCM95721) rev 4101 PHY(5750)] (PCI Express)
10/100/1000BaseT Ethernet 00:14:5e:28:83:a4
