ps2pdf produces wrong pdf files

Could you try this just to see if you get the same
result(s)

[olivares at localhost ~]$ gs -sPAPERSIZE=letter -dSAFER
-dBATCH -dNOPAUSE-sDEVICE=pdfwrite
-sOutputFile=outputfile.pdf -c save pop -f
inputfile.ps


remove -c save pop -f if neccessary, depends on FC4/5.
 

Are the results the same?  

Have you tried Evince?
