Looks like maybe SELinux or some other security mechanism is disturbed 
by the mplayer hacks to get code intended for Win32 to work on Linux.

Look in your logs, esp /var/log/audit/audit.log for clues, or since this 
is apparently Real stuff download the Linux player from Real instead.
