New on cable. Bash prompt name changed?

What does your /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 say? On my system,
the last line says

DHCP_HOSTNAME=my-hostname

(replace my-hostname with your preferred hostname). Maybe this will help?
