I got through a complete install in graphic mode. I used a PATA drive,
so did not experience the issue you are having. I am using a NVIDIA AGP
video card and that seems to work okay with some intermittent video
shutdowns. I do see that XORG issued some new patches, so that problem
may be covered there. I reported this bug to Redhat Linux-kernel and
we'll have to see what they have to say. Will report to Linux-kernel
once Google gets back online.

BTW, are you local? Lodi here...
