Will you recommend fedora to a newcomer?

Hi all; I've got an extra 2¢.

I think this is an important topic and makes interesting reading late
Sunday night.

This is the core question. Which distro is the prettiest. I am not
being trivial or sarcastic. People do judge a book by its cover. Even
while they are trying to show themselves as hard bitten,
give-me-the-performance, professionals.

After they have settled in, new users become features proud, but first
out of the box they want glitz, professional glitz -- its just human
nature. If your going to feed them steak make sure they hear the
sizzle. Give it to them.

M$ Windows is standard, common, ordinary and everywhere. Only Linux can
give somebody trying out a new operating system a real WOW.

So, one of the first questions is which distro is the prettiest?

I really realized this when I install FC5. I waited anxiously for FC5
to be released because I wanted the upgrades and fixes over FC4. I
caught myself 'wowing' as I saw the new login and other screens for the
first time.

I would love to see some real artists added to the development teams of
distributions, desktops and applications. That would blow Microsoft and
even Apple right out of the water.

Regards Bill
