Just uncomment the "port = 5432" line, leave the "listen_addresses" commented 
out since the default is to listen to localhost and '*' (any host).

Then make sure you have a 5432 entry in your /etc/services file like this:
postgresql      5432/tcp   # PostgreSQL Database

and life should be good...
