tvtime shutdown ??

Hi;

I use tvtime 1.0.1, Gnome 2.12 and FC5.  Neither tvtime or its audio
shutdown automatically or properly if I logout without first closing
them, nor do they shut cleanly if my computer crashes.

Is there a way I can make tvtime shutdown, at least in runlevel 6.  I
understand this is a tvtime problem but I have asked their mailing list
in the past and received no response.
