Fedora Core avoids including many programs that have similar
functionality. In general the preference is to just ship the defaults.
Firefox has been the default browser in Fedora.
The mozilla suite has been included in Fedora Core because many
applications such Yelp which need a HTML rendering engine were build
against this. Now that they have all been built against Firefox,
seamonkey was reviewed and included in Fedora Extras which obsoletes the
Fedora Core mozilla suite. The long term plan is to use XULRunner instead.

Seamonkey is still maintained by Red Hat in Fedora Extras and is also
included in recent versions of Red Hat Enterprise Linux updates.
