I, for my part, have not used telnet in years. But this is a server on
our company's local LAN, so the security risk is pretty minimal.

In any case, the boss is an old-school FTP/TELNET sort of guy, and when
the boss says, "Make it work," I'm sort of inclined to give him what he
wants.
