A minor point: AFAIK Privoxy doesn' t actually block the page element
from being retreived, only the display thereof, hence I don't think
you are putting a dent in anyone's ad revenues by using it.

I used Privoxy for years. Now I use the Firefox Adblock extension.
Both are great.
