iPod and Banshee not working

Anybody else is having problems with Banshee and the iPod? See thread
called "iPod on Fedora 5 not working with Banshee":

They're asking me to try CVS versions of some libraries, but it's gonna
be a chore and I'd like to get confirmation first from other people (if
my problem is not unique).
