The _easiest_ way, assuming you only have one network interface, is to run 
'netconfig' and then run 'service network restart' (both as 'root').

While editting /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 (assuming that 
you have an ethernet connection) will work fine and permanently - it 
doesn't qualify as the _easiest_ way to set/change it for a simple 
configuration.
