Thank you for your reply and your help, Antonio.
I will try your suggestion, but you mention gnome-libs. I am using the
KDE desktop, so I am wondering if it will work in KDE or if it is
gnome-specific.
However, I'll try it when I sort out the floppy mounting problem.
