Yup, yer right.  The example I mentioned is in section 16.4.   I guess 
we just need
more distro and vendor support.  But at the same time, even 16.4 seems 
to give a
bit of leeway.   However, I haven't read the whole spec, there might be 
more direction
elsewhere in the doc.
