I'm just not getting this video playback installation thing
(2.6.18-1.2239.fc5). When I try using Yum extender to install xine, I
get:

Missing Dependency: libssl.so.5 is needed by package xine
Missing Dependency: libcrypto.so.5 is needed by package xine

And when I try to install videolan-client (from freshrpms) I get:

Missing Dependency: libgnutls.so.11(GNUTLS_REL_1_0_9) is needed by
package videolan-client
Missing Dependency: libgnutls.so.11 is needed by package videolan-client
Missing Dependency: libcdio.so.6 is needed by package videolan-client
Missing Dependency: libiso9660.so.4 is needed by package videolan-client
Missing Dependency: libcdio.so.6(CDIO_6) is needed by package
videolan-client

I got mplayer installed, but it doesn't work: "Error
opening/initializing the selected video_out(-vo) device."

I didn't think I was this clueless, but apparently I was wrong. Any
hints on getting any of these packages properly installed?

Thanks much -
