You can use bootpart to add an entry in the NT Boot Loader; when your 
computer starts and gets as far as the NT Bootloader it will prompt for 
whether you want to boot your XP or Linux install.  You will need to read 
the documentation, but it is simple, fairly safe, and does not mess with the 
MBR...
