You may want to take a look at /etc/iftab to make sure you are not
trying to map eth1 to 2 different MAC addresses. If that is ok, then
post /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth1 and ifcfg-eth2. There
are options you can put in there that can cause problems.
