Video editing program

Hi,

I'm looking for a video editing program, I know about Cinelerra but that
seems a big overkill for what I want. All I want is something that I can
take some MPEG videos and cut some parts out and divide the video in
multiple videos to create some DVD chapters.

Is there a simple program that can do what I want?
