FC4 on Laptop, does it work??, Partly.

On gnome, Desktop->Preferences->Keyboard Shortcuts is very helpful for 
defining these sorts of keys to open email, control volume and 
such...but as it appears you're using KDE I don't have experience with 
that so I couldn't tell you where to find an equivalent.
