In FC4 I had no problems using the default package from nvidia
regardless of which kernel I was running.
When I installed FC5t3 on my new x86_64 box I had to get the patch from
nvidia and apply it before I could even compile the new driver.

I don't know if that is the result of the newer kernel, or if it was the
change from 32bit to 64bit kernel, or from single processor to smp, or
what but it just worked once I managed to put all the puzzle pieces
together.
