With hyperthreading? Hyperthreading needs an SMP kernel to work, since
it makes the processor look like two to software.

When you boot Fedora, which kernel are you choosing? (You do have to
reboot to load a new kernel...)

At a guess, I'd say something's wrong with your yum setup. You seem to
be trying to use FC3 updates.
