Noisy audio CD with cdrecord

The command you're using looks right. I only got a noisy cd as you
describe when I (miss)used the swab flag. Do a man cdrecord and search for
swab, and see if that helps.

Are those really wav files? Can you play them e.g. with

play file.wav 

?
