No, I wasn't aware of it.

The pleasant surprise is that it uses the correct method to create
DVD-compliant MPEG2 streams, which is via mjpegtools. Other encoders,
while faster, produce streams that are remarkably far from the standard
(therefore failing to play correctly on some players).
