videolan-client GUI errors

Hello all,


I've installed videolan-client 0.8.4 from Dag's repository. I can't find a
way to access the preferences dialog as well as the default GUI (not
skinned), right-clicking on the skinned mainwindow, I get:

[00000274] main dialogs provider error: no dialogs provider module matched "any"
[00000271] skins2 interface error: No suitable dialogs provider found (hint: compile the wxWidgets plugin, and make sure it is loaded properly)

I've noticed that this rpm only provides libskins2_plugin.so in /usr/lib/vlc,
whereas the vlc 0.8.2 rpm from livna also ships libncurses_plugin.so and
libwxwindows_plugin.so (and has dependency to wxGTK2). If vlc 0.8.2 from
livna is installed, I'm able to get the appropriate prefs GUI.

Did I do something wrong w/ the 0.8.4 version from Dag? Can anyone access the
prefs dialog w/ that version?

Nota: I cannot use vlc version <= 0.8.2, since it doesn't support properly
rtsp fluxes from my DSL provider's TV URLs (free.fr).
