no sound with docking station

Hi All,

I am trying to figure out why when I use my docking station at work with my Dell Precision M20 laptop,I dont get any sound from the external speakers. I am dual boooting windows xp pro and fedora core 3 at this time. Sound works fine when I am undocked in both KDE and Gnome. In the docking station, the sound card(ac97) is detected, but the test sound is not heard.Is there a kmix setting that I need to set or unset to have sound while using docking station?
