Evolution in Fedora Core 4

Hello Everyone,

Evolution in FC4 (evolution-2.2.3-2) has an option under Mail
Preferences that says:

Generates a D-BUS messages when new mail arrives

Under Tools -> Manage Plugins, there is a plugin called "New Mail
Notification".  This plugin provides the above option.

This is all well and good, but what is it supposed to do?  I thought
enabling it would cause an icon or something to appear in the
Notifaction Area on my panel, but so far I haven't seen anything.

Is it supposed to be used in conjunction with something else?  Are there
any docs for it (I haven't found any).

I've been wondering about it ever since I installed FC4.
