Fusion MPT Drivers with 2.6.15

It's my understanding that the Fusion MPT drivers (used in Dell
PowerEdge) were split into different drivers in the 2.6.13 kernel.  I'm
trying to move from a 2.6.9 kernel to a 2.6.15 hand built kernel and
having problems.

I updated my /etc/modprobe.conf and replaced mptscsih with mptspi and
remade initrd and installed it.  Reboot and I still blow up with a ton
of sd_mod: Unknown Symbol and mtpscsih: Unknown Symbol errors.  

What to do now?
