I just tried it, on a kde-3.3.0 system and it ran without any errors.  
How well it works I don't know as I haven't even ran a copy of knode in 
about a year.

People having trouble with vz bouncing email to me should add the word
'online' between the 'verizon', and the dot which bypasses vz's
stupid bounce rules.  I do use spamassassin too. :-)
