[OT] Software Project Analysis

Dear all,

I need to analyze a rather large C++ project and am I little clueless as
to where to start. I know what the code is supposed to do -- just need to
see how it's doing it. I never had to analyze such a large project before
so I'm a bit lost. I've started by looking at the classes and the relevant
UML class diagrams; and then plan on looking at the implementation.

Is this the best way to go? I don't have a lot of time so reading a few
books on the way is not an option :(
