multiple logins & shared devices (sound)

Hi,

[Running fc4,updated kernel]
I'd like to have other people login seperate sessions
without logging me off. I can do it, but devices like
the sound card are locked by the first user to login.
Currently get a message indicating no sound device
available. I tried googling this but must be using the
wrong terms.

How to I set permissions so that secondary logins can
still play sound?
