FC4 hang/interpret slabtop

Well, I heard about slabtop from googling for kernel related lockups.  It
seems to be used mostly by kernel pocket protector types for
troubleshoting these sort of issues and has little documentation
associated with it, as you've found.

This PC was fine a week ago on FC1, but decided it was high time to get
more current and moved to fc4. My other installs of FC4 doing less 
IO/syslogging are fine.

Incidentally, your system sounds almost identical to this one, 
P3/1GHz/384Mb

I don't think I have any ACPI on, but I will check.
