have you tried a 

vim -d /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf.rpmnew

(or gvim for a better colorscheme, if you have vim-x11 installed) 

to show differences, if the .rpmnew file exists ? (possible after any
updates)
