Disabling aiglx cleanly

Hi,

I've got a nvidia card with the open nv driver, and the last xorg update
in fedora devel is blue-screening me.

The only way I've found to recover my gui is to disable composite in
xorg.conf, but that in turn kills metacity.

Is there a way not to be blue screened or wm-deprived in rawhide ?
Is this not a dad dangerous change to make in the eve of a FC6 test
release?
