headlest setup

Hello:

   Can any one be so kind to tell me how to make fedora core 5 to boot in a 
headless configuration. The machine does not have a video card and am 
redirecting all output to the serial interface which works find as long as I 
boot fedora with the video card enable. As soon as I disable the video card 
fedora does not boot nor echos anything to the terminal console. Thanks for 
all the help.
