The Linux eternal problem with reading CD/DVDs...

Now, it mounts correctly and automatically with the kernel
2.6.17-1.2145_FC5, but the reported error persists. So the problem is
not caused by the kernel. However, it is very strange that the
reported problem does not occur, apparently, in a systematic way. Any
further ideas? And, yes, it is recorded with UDF (and with Nero
Lunux).
