Fedora Core 5 Unstability

Does the problem continue with the vesa video driver, assuming that 
isn't what you are using already?

Does it still lock up if you switch to the first console with 
Ctrl-Alt-F1 and just sit there?  Because you might see a panic or other 
clue by watching this.
