FC5 Struggling with printers shares

I told to my laptop to use shared printers (via Cup/IPP) connected to
my desktop.
When I send a test page from printer configuration tool nothing is
printed and i get the following message.:

busy, down, or unreachable; will retry in 30 seconds...

I am lost as I have a twin similar system in the office where my
laptop (192.168.0.5) can print to my desktop (192.168.0.1)  (and both
have iptables with exactly same rules ....no rule for CUP), and I
can't get out of the problem.
>From this point, what shall I look into??
CUPS is always a pain for newbies...
