power off not working on AMD 64bit - FC5

Hi all,

I have recently installed, 64bit FC5 on my AMD system. The power off
on shutdown is not working since then.

Earlier i had 32bit FC5 on the same hardware and the power off on
shutdown was working then.

kernel verion - 2.6.16-1.2122_FC5

Can anyone give me clue on what could be the problem and how can i
solve the same.
