Gnome sound problem after many hours (was Re: Xine startup problem under FC5)

Appears to be a problem with the sound with GAIM, when GAIM is running,
no other application can use the sound.

A posible workaround (I expect it works) is disable the sound in GAIM,
but I need the sound with gaim when I'm working to take care of messages
received.

Any more stable solution?

Thanks
