Subject: kde in extras - the devel discussion

I see that there is a long thread in fedora-devel about whether to
push KDE out into extras. There are a lot of people out there (Linus T
for one !) who feel that KDE should be part of the OS. I would hate
to see KDE pushed out of the core.

What do you think ?

Advantages:
Smaller number of iso's to download.
It's not good to put everything in core (look at debian where a complete
download takes 14 cd's or 2 dvd's)

Disadvantages:
When doing multiple installs on the same architecture we are going to realy
hit the repo servers. (I have no idea if that is a problem but one should
keep this in mind)

I thin we will just have to find a balance between these 2 arguments.
