This is not a good plan.
It's much better to use "rpm -e" to remove unneeded/old kernels.
"uname -r" tells you which kernel you are running, so there is no
guesswork.
In addition, doing "rpm -e" will remove the entries from your
GRUB configuration, where moving things around (or just deleting them
without the aid of "rpm") will leave those lines hanging around.
