FC5 mozilla/firefox can't openb .pdf files

and right-click, save link as... ?
if that works, you may wish to save all PDFs locally and open them
manually. That can be configured in
Edit->Preferences->Downloads->View And Edit Actions...
you can get it to save all these types of file automatically.

perhaps. Is this an x86_64 system? I have seen quite a few references to
problems like this via google.
