I think I've already replied to this. When the original question was put, I
tried Firefox on FC5, check mail, and it opened Evolution. Logged out of KDE,
and back into Gnome, changed the default email client in Evolution to Kmail,
logged out of Gnome and back into KDE, and Firefox now uses Kmail.

This probably has something to do with Gnome being the default desktop
installed with an FC5 install. KDE is an optional extra, thus Firefox is
connecting to the default email client, in this case Evolution.

I tried Firefox, which I have manually installed on FC2, and this too goes for
Evolution as the email client, until I change it, that is.

Just had a quick, very quick look in the home directory,
under .gnome, .gnome2, and .evolution, but couldn't find any config files to
change the default email client there.

The joy of working with computers. eh. Nigel.
