Kernel compile

Hallo,

if i compile a new kernel, lets say the latest mm in /usr/src/linux
everything rworks perfectly an i can after the next reboot use him.

But since iam a own a nvidia Graphic Carte, i must compile the latest
driver too.

But the driver claims: somethink like i have to set the kernel source
Path with something like export SYSSRC.

I think this is a Fedora4 specific Problem, so please help
