Problems Printing with FC5

It is not clear to me what you actually did. Some questions:
a. Did you use the cups web interface? localhost:631
b: I suspect you chose the jetdirect option as the device . Am I right?

Well that is a mistake. We have numbers of HP printers with jetdirect
interfaces. We always choose the lpr device or ipp device using the
hostname of of the jetdirect device and raw as the queue name.
try lpr and the raw queue name with cups-lpd running and I think things
will work.
