Eth0 Fails Randomly

Two questions:

1 - which kernel are you running?

2 - do you get the same message if you do ifdown before ifup ?

There have been some strange networking issues on the list recently - the
latest kernel seems to be a common thread...

Ok third question - what make/model is the eth0 adapter...
